The most enthusiastic teacher I’ve ever seen. It’s unreal going from her class to another; not to say it’s a competition or to compare but you can feel the energy in her class like no other. I sat in to observe one day and even i felt engaged. You can see the passion, hear the love, and feel the need to send the kids out of her class with what they need. Any kids that get to experience her class are by far in amazing hands.

Why Does This Teacher Make You Smile? This teacher literally restored my faith in the CCSD school district. After a really rough start to the school year with a teacher who had my child confused with another and was giving my child the wrong grades, I finally got her transferred into Mrs. Loberg’s class. It was an instant difference! She restarted my kids grades after putting her through some tests to see where she was at. She also had her tested for the GATE program which my kid was accepted into. We went from a nightmare of a school year where my child who loved school was starting to hate it, to having a teacher who took the time and believed in her where now my child is not just surviving but thriving. She loves Mrs. Loberg’s class, and her teaching style and homework is personalized to each individual child’s needs. You don’t find many teachers willing to put in the effort she does to see all her students thrive.

Why Does This Teacher Make You Smile? This teacher is the best teacher I have ever had in all my years of grade school so far. She always has a smile on her face no matter what kid gives her their kid attitude. She always states her encouraging words that help lift any students’ spirits. When in doubt, Ms. Lytle is the teacher I would choose any day for this kind of nominee. She’s the brightest little lady. When she walks the halls, everyone is happy because of how good her attitude is. It takes a lot to be a leader, but it takes more to be as good of a teacher as Ms. Lytle. She’s not just a teacher, she’s an inspiration to any kid who she comes across. She’s always willing to help with anything around the school. She even danced with me at the middle school dance! She would do anything just to make sure her students learn with a smile on their face, and its pretty hard to read and smile coming from a kid. This lady is the sweetest and even if she doesn’t win, she deserves every award there is in the book. Great role-model and couldn’t be more happy to nominate her. LOVE U MS. She had planned many fun activities for the kids. My daughter was devasted. That night she just cried knowing she had to go back to distance learning. Mrs. Lawson did the best she could having to switch to distance so quickly and tried to make it fun for her students. The icing on the cake for my daughter is Mrs. Lawson went to each student’s house and left their gifts they had worked on. My daughter was able to see her from a distance and just being able to Mrs. Lawson reassured her things were OK. There are many other things she has done, but another standout was she had each of the kids do a self-portrait then had all the self-portraits put on a shirt that says Mrs. Lawsons 2nd grade class. We just love Mrs. Lawson and are so grateful for her!!
Teacher: Joann Leet, Vanderburg Elementary School

They were especially helpful during the world COVID pause. I am so thankful to have/ had such a great example to follow.
