James Sylvia was nominated for the Moving Our Community program by Maria Montes. She nominated him because he needed assistance. James relocated to Las Vegas from California. James had an injury in 2005 that will affect him for the rest of his life. He does not have family close by and is not able to work. He lives off Supplemental Security Income. He found a more affordable place to live and needed assistance with his move.
Thankfully Maria nominated James and we were able to help James move at no cost to him. James said, “I am very grateful. I have not been getting a lot of help here.” We too are grateful we could help James move and show him what the Las Vegas community is about. The families selected by Move 4 Less for the Moving Our Community program were based on applications submitted during the 3rd cycle. Some of the moves have been delayed due to the families trying to find places they can afford and/or qualify for, given they may still be out of work.
Move 4 Less continues to participate in a wide range of community activities throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The company has always had the heart to give back where they can. Currently, they are offering their trucks and moving staff to help move essential items throughout the valley.
