Crista Onoszko was the second recipient of the 3rd cycle of our Moving Our Community program. Crista is a single mother with full custody of her boys. She has lived in the Las Vegas community for over 20 years. She works two jobs in the medical field to make ends meet. Through the pandemic, Crista’s work as a medical transcriptionist was limited and she was not able to make the same income. At the same time, Crista’s rent increased by 47% with three months’ notice. With many other variables in her life, it created significant financial strain. Being proactive, she knew she would have to make some changes.

Crista felt fortunate to find a new place to move to. She heard about the Move 4 Less Moving Our Community program on Fox 5 and applied. To her surprise, she was selected. “When I got the call that we were selected for a free move, I was in shock. I am very grateful that there’s people out there who truly want to help people like me.”   We are grateful for the opportunity to be able to help our community with what we do best…MOVING

Crista is looking forward to new opportunities, a new home, and starting anew in 2022, putting 2021 behind her.

The families selected by Move 4 Less for the Moving Our Community program were based on applications submitted during the 3rd cycle. Some of the moves have been delayed due to the families trying to find places they can afford and/or qualify for, given they may still be out of work. Move 4 Less continues to participate in a wide range of community activities throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The company has always had the heart to give back where they can. Currently, they are offering their trucks and moving staff to help move essential items throughout the valley.
